Schwarzenegger's Palin Comment Taken Out Of Context

The Issue: California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been quoted as saying Sarah Palin is not yet ready to be President of the United States, but she will be when she is sworn in during an interview on CNN.  Below is the video of the October 22nd interview that shows the entire statement by the Governor where he qualifies that comment.

Analysis: Arnold was relating to his own experience becoming California’s Governor.

Most are aware of the circumstances surrounding Arnold Schwarzenegger, the famous action movie actor being elected governor during the 2003 historic recall election.  In the video, he speaks about knowing little of the day-to-day operations of the governor’s office until getting elected.  Arnold, like Palin was not a political insider, and had little knowledge of the workings in the Capitol.  Given the context, Arnold made quite an astute point.

Arnold makes a fair enough point. But the question that begs to be asked, if we are to compare Arnold and Sarah(why not be on first-name basis?) is has his “outsider” status helped him in Sacramento?
