Ron Paul Endorses Tom McClintock For Congress

The Issue: Ron Paul, former Republican candidate for President and Texas Congressman has endorsed Tom McClintock for Congress in California’s 4th Congressional District. In addition, Paul has asked his base to support McClintock’s campaign financially. Tom McClintock is in a close race for the Congressional seat formerly held by Republican John Dolittle in Northern California. He is challenged by Democrat Charlie Brown, a veteran who is backed by significant support from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Tom McClintock, known for his fiscally conservative stances is an easy endorsement for Ron Paul, who once ran for President as a Libertarian.
“Tom McClintock is one of the most promising warriors in the fight against big government we have seen in a long time, and the special interests and big bankers know it.” – Ron Paul
Analysis: Ron Paul is right on target The most pressing issue in the Federal Government, at the core of all other issues is the Economy and Federal Budget. The United States has more debt than ever before and just spent $700 billion to bailout banks who made bad investments (By the way, Chase chose to use it’s bailout money to buy other failing banks). Ron Paul and Tom McClintock both opposed this measure, and they should. Bad banks deserve to fail, just as all bad businesses do. Newer, smarter banks will replace them. It is the process of economic evolution. Judging completely on fiscal issues, Tom McClintock is who Californians and Americans need in Congress.
