Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden

The Issue: Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee Senator Joe Biden will be attending 3 events in Northern California this weekend.  All three of the events are fundraisers and will not be open to the public, according to the Sacramento Bee.  No information was available on the California Democratic Party Website.

According to the Sacramento Bee:

“On Saturday, Biden starts the day with an 11:30 reception at Westly’s home in Atherton. Westly has been a California co-chair of Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign since the primary.

Tickets to the event are $2,500, with co-chairs asked to fork out $28,500.

Then there’s an afternoon reception at the home of Piedmont winemaker Derek Benham. Tickets start at $1,000.

Dinner is at the San Francisco home of Doug Hickey, a venture capitalist. Prices start at $5,000.”
