Just look at the guy running against Hannah-Beth Jackson. Apparently, as of August 21st, at least <a href="http://www.independent.com/news/2008/aug/21/tony-strickland-strikes-first-senate-race-against-//" rel="nofollow">$114,000</a> had been spent on Tony Strickland's behalf by an independent expenditure committee funded by special interest money. Yes, independent expenditures can be a problem. Just look at the guy running against Hannah-Beth Jackson. Apparently, as of August 21st, at least $114,000 had been spent on Tony Strickland’s behalf by an independent expenditure committee funded by special interest money.
