Fresno Mayor Alan Autry supports Proposition 11
The Issue: California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been traveling the state promoting Proposition 11, California Redistricting Reform. Today, the Proposition 11 Campaign site released a webcast featuring Schwarzenegger, Fresno Mayer Alan Autry, Police Chief Jerry Dyer, Vice President Paul Wenger from the California Farm Bureau and others speaking in support of Proposition 11. The audio is below.
The Fresno Mayor argues that the Legislature has no need to be accountable to the people and has no incentive to tackle tough issues. He continues to argue that Schwarzenegger has been a champion for election reform despite the efforts of the Special Interest controlled Legislature.
Analysis: Local Governments should support Proposition 11
Elected Officials such as Alan Autry would be major proponents of the redistricting reform. Local elected officials are directly accountable to their voters because they work and live within close proximity of their constituency. Elected Officials in Sacramento are generally so far away from their voters that they don’t have the same issues of facing the public after decision-making.
Proposition 11 would make statewide elected officials rely on the consent of the voting public to remain in office, something they don’t really need now. An interesting consequence of such change might be a shift of our state political parties to more moderate platforms. If the parties cannot win elections working at the extremes, they might modify their stances to appeal to the broader base of voters.
Until Mayor Autry addresses the henious crimes behind the “secret” altering of the city water system, why would anyone believe anything he says. My family was killed; my neighbor was murdered when done to his property; neighbor across the alley never seen again; next-door-neighbor left dead after repeated exposure of raw sewage, which the city paid the risk analyst to LIE about. THEY PAID THEIR RISK ANALYST TO LIE AND SET US UP FOR ANNIHILATION! There is a trail of this, followed by forged deeds, illegal conversion of assets, etc.
Autry is not done with me – his group returned to further rob, rape and destroy my property -they need me dead too. Once targeted there is no way out but death. Autry = cruel and inhumane abuse of power at the cost of human lives. See links below.
